Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) mentor Zaheer Khan addressed the post-match press conference after his side's last game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Lucknow on May 27. It was also the last league match of the season.

LSG beat RCB by six wickets to book a spot in the top two of the points table. Courtesy of RCB's win over LSG, they will face Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 1 on May 29. While Mumbai Indians (MI) will face Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Eliminator on May 30. Both matches will be played in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.

Rishabh Pant scored his second IPL ton in just 54 deliveries against RCB. His celebrations after he got to the landmark was one to watch out for. He felt a sense of relief as he got to his century which was visible on his face.

Learning Season For Him - Zaheer Khan On Rishabh Pant

Addressing the post-match press conference, Zaheer Khan said that Pant's leadership was the bright spot for them this season. He further said that the season will be a learning experience for him as a batter.

“Well, he's been good as a leader. That was a bright positive for us throughout the season. The form with the bat was definitely a learning experience for him, having this kind of season. But his ability and calibre are not in doubt. That's how we are looking at it,” Zaheer said in the post-match press conference.
“We're happy he finished on a strong note - that's the calibre he has, and the impact he can have on the game,” Zaheer added.

Rishabh Pant's Numbers For LSG In IPL 2025

Overall, after his century, Pant ended the season with 226 runs in 14 matches this season. He averaged 24.45 this season and maintained a strike rate of 133.16. He had five single-digit scores besides scoring two ducks this season. The other fifty-plus score he had was against CSK that he scored also in Lucknow.
