Gujarat Titans (GT) will cross swords with Delhi Capitals (DC) in match number 35 of the ongoing 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season on Saturday, April 19. On account of beating Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Super Over, DC became the first team to reach 10 points. They are also sitting on top of the points table. Meanwhile, GT is sitting third on the points table, winning four games and losing two games in the six matches that they have played.
It's a clash between two of the most consistent sides in the IPL 2025 season. Barely have DC and GT put a foot wrong and have collectively put in good performances in the batting and bowling departments of the game. Now, it is about maintaining the same level of consistency and showing ruthlessness in the matches that they will play in the second half of the IPL 2025 season.

GT vs DC Match Preview
Like many of the other franchises like RR, KKR, and MI, GT too managed to retain the core of the squad - Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan, Rashid Khan, Rahul Tewatia, and Shahrukh Khan. GT is reaping the rewards of it, as the core group has shown consistency and has been able to repay the trust the management has shown. Sudarshan has been fantastic at the top, scoring 329 runs in six games at an astonishing average of 54.83. The Southpaw's solid starts upfront have paved the way for GT to post huge scores.
He has been well supported by Gill, Jos Buttler, and Tewatia. In the bowling department, despite Kagiso Rabada's absence due to personal reasons, the side has managed to show exemplary performances, with the likes of Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, and Sai Kishore amongst the wickets. The only worry for GT is that Rashid Khan, is yet to fully hit his straps. On the other hand, DC has looked superb in the five matches that they have won. Skipper Axar Patel has led well, and the team is playing as a unit.
KL Rahul has looked superb with bat in hand. He, alongside DC's finisher Tristan Stubbs has brought a sense of calmness to the lower middle order. Jake Fraser-McGurk's form is a huge concern, but luckily for DC, that is not having a negative impact as others have stepped up nicely. In the bowling, spin twins Kuldeep Yadav and Vipraj Nigam have proven to be miserly in the middle phase of the innings. The latter has been a revelation so far and is touted to play for India soon.
