Grand Prairie Stadium in Grand Prairie, Texas, is a cricket ground built on what was once a baseball park. Opened in 2008, it first served as home to the Texas AirHogs baseball team and later hosted Texas United in soccer. After the AirHogs folded in 2020, the venue was given a new life as a cricket ground near Dallas.
In 2022, work began on a $20 million redevelopment to turn the old ballpark into a proper cricket stadium. American Cricket Enterprises took over the lease and announced a major redevelopment. The outfield, pitch and boundary lines were all redesigned. By July 2023, the ground reopened and became the main venue for Major League Cricket, hosting most of the matches in its first season.
Today, Grand Prairie Stadium is also the training base for the United States national cricket team. It gained worldwide attention in 2024 when it staged group matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The stadium has quickly grown into a landmark for cricket in the region.
