Watch! Josh Hazlewood Ramps Up Intensity in Nets Ahead of Potential RCB Play-Off Return

Josh Hazelwood arrives at Bengaluru

Josh Hazlewood, initially reported to be returning to play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the playoffs, has now begun intense bowling drills in the nets as he eyes a comeback for the playoff match.

As RCB's best bowler this season, Hazlewood has taken 18 wickets in 10 matches. However, he experienced a shoulder niggle during the RCB vs. CSK clash, which caused him to miss that game. Following the India-Pakistan conflict at the border, which led to the suspension of the tournament, Hazlewood returned to Australia for recovery.

Initially, it was reported that Hazlewood would not return for the remainder of the competition due to Cricket Australia's concerns about his workload management, especially with the World Test Championship (WTC) finals squad being announced. However, a few days later, Hazlewood expressed interest in returning as RCB management informed that he would join the team ahead of the playoffs if RCB qualified.

Now that RCB has secured a spot in the playoffs, Hazlewood has returned to the nets and has been bowling to Sam Kontas. He was joined by Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon, and Scott Boland, who are all part of the potential bowling lineup alongside Pat Cummins for the upcoming WTC finals against South Africa.
