A total of thirteen Indian players have registered for the SA20’s upcoming mega auction, which is scheduled to take place on September 9. In all, 734 players, including the Indian entrants, have registered for the auction. This move became possible after the BCCI granted NOCs to these players, with the condition that all Indian entrants are either retired or have relinquished their claims to play for India or in the IPL.
Former Indian spinner Piyush Chawla and Siddharth Kaul are the only players in this list to have represented India across formats, while the rest have either featured in the IPL or played for their respective state teams.

Pakistan Players Set to Participate in SA20 Auction
Outside of the Indian players, 40 cricketers from Pakistan have registered for the SA20 auction, including notable names like Azam Khan, Imam-ul-Haq, and Abrar Ahmed. Notably, no Pakistani players have featured in the league over the past three seasons, primarily because all six SA20 teams are owned by Indian businessmen. However, this season there’s a strong possibility that some of these players may be picked at the auction.
Among Asian players, 150 cricketers from England have also registered for the auction, with familiar names like Jason Roy and Alex Hales among them.

The six franchises collectively have a purse of USD 7.4 million to fill 84 available slots at the Johannesburg auction. SA20 had earlier announced that, for Season 4, teams will be allowed to sign one Wildcard player—either an overseas or South African cricketer—whose salary will fall outside the salary cap. The 4th season of the league will run from December 26 to January 25.
