After Karachi Kings (KRK) were heavily criticized for giving a hair dryer as a gift for James Vince for player of the match award in the ongoing 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) season, Lahore Qalandars (LQ) went viral on social media for gifting iPhone 16 Pro for skipper Shaheen Afridi. On Easter, LQ decided to celebrate the festival by giving lavish gifts to their players and members of their support staff.
Shaheen flaunted his customized, 24-carat gold-plated iPhone 16 Pro on the special occasion of Easter. As the left-arm pacer unboxed the precious gift from the team, his teammates were left awestruck.
Shaheen's teammate Haris Rauf joined in the banter, calling this awesome gesture of gifting the only captain with an iPhone "Unfair."
"Our Captain Qalandar receives a gift he's worthy of. A custom 24K Gold-plated iPhone 16 Pro, made just for Lahore Qalandars' main man, Shaheen!" Lahore wrote in a social media post, sharing the joyous moment.

Speaking about Shaheen-led LQ, the team are off to a solid start as they have won two wins from the three matches that they have played so far. They are sitting second on the PSL 2025 points table.
