Pakistan are set to host Bangladesh in the first T20I of the three-match series scheduled at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on May 28.
It is a new era for Pakistan in T20 cricket. They have recently appointed Mike Hesson as the white-ball coach of the team. Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Rizwan are no longer part of the T20 set-up as Pakistan aim to build a team for the future under the leadership of Agha Salman.
Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman have recovered from their respective injuries and will be making international comeback. Naseem Shah is also back. Sahibzada Farhan and Hasan Ali have earned a place in the squad on the back of their outstanding performance in the Pakistan Super League 2025 (PSL 2025).

Pakistan last lost a T20I series to New Zealand 1-4.
Bangladesh are under immense pressure to deliver. The Litton Das-led side recently faced a series-defeat at the hands of the UAE, who handed them two back-to-back losses in the T20 format.
Adding to their worries, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman and Soumya Sarkar are ruled out of the series due to the injuries. Nahid Rana is unavailable because of personal reasons.
