Mumbai Indians (MI) are chasing 163 to win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. Hyderabad posted 162/5 batting first in their 20 overs.
Both the teams are in the second half of the points table. Hence this is a crucial match for both teams. Both teams won their previous game which makes these two points all the more important.
Rohit Sharma opened the batting for MI in the chase as an Impact Sub. He started slow but a miscued shot over the slips got him going in his innings. The former MI skipper scored 26 runs off 16 balls, scoring at a strike rate of over 160. He added 32 runs for the first wicket with Ryan Rickelton (31 runs off 23 balls).

Rohit Sharma Looked Good Before His Dismissal
However, Pat Cummins, the SRH skipper, dismissed him in the fourth over of the chase. Rohit hit one straight to Travis Head who was fielding at covers. At the end of the powerplay, MI scored 55/1.
SRH brought on Zeeshan Ansari after the powerplay. The spinner did get enough purchase in his first over to keep the MI batters guessing. For MI when they were bowling, Will Jacks (22 runs off 17 balls) got enough turn to keep the batters guessing. In his very first over, Zeeshan got a big breakthrough as he dismissed the southpaw Rickelton. However, the ball turned out to be a no-ball as Heinrich Klaasen's gloves were before the stumps when Cummins took the catch at covers. The catch was clean, however, Klaasen was the culprit as he had kept his gloves before the stumps when the leggie bowled the delivery.
Rahul Chahar came in as the Impact Sub for SRH in the 8th over in place of Mohammed Shami who went for 28 runs off his three overs. Meanwhile, Rickelton was finally dismissed in the eighth over by Harshal Patel in his very first over. Mumbai took a cautious approach in the final two overs and reached 91 for 2 in their first 10 overs. Suryakumar Yadav (17 runs off 8 balls) holds the key for MI in the second half of the chase.
Previously SRH posted 162/5 in their 20 overs. Their batters found it tough out in the park. Abhishek Sharma (40 runs off 28 balls), Heinrich Klaasen (37 runs off 28 balls) Travis Head (28 runs off 29 balls) and Aniket Verma (18* runs off 8 balls) played key roles with the bat foir SRH to get to that score. Hyderabad scored 47 off his final three overs that helped them to get past 160 which might handful on the night.
