Nitish Kumar is already ruled out of the series. Arshdeep Singh has also been ruled out of the fourth Test with an injury to his bowling finger. Now, there is a massive update on Akash Deep. Gill confirmed that he is ruled out of the fourth Test with a groin injury. Possibly, Anshul Kamboj will replace him in the XI.

Gill Confirms Pant As Keeper In Manchester Test

In another major update, Shubman Gill has also confirmed that Rishabh Pant will keep wickets in the Manchester Test. Pant, who got injured in his left index finger, resumed keeping during his training session ahead of the fourth Test.

"Rishabh Pant will keep wickets in the fourth Test against England in Manchester” Gill confirmed the reporters.

There were talks of Dhruv Jurel possibly replacing him or playing as a specialist wicketkeeper in the next Test. He conceded 25 byes in the second innings as England won the match by 22 runs. Pant is in good form with the bat and his return to form will be a major boost for India.

Previously, Md Siraj confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will play the fourth Test. There were talks about him playing only three Tests in the series. He has already played in two, both of which India lost. The Manchester Test will be his third Test of the series.

India Worried About Fourth Bowling Option

A few spots are yet to be filled in the XI. There are concerns about Karun Nair’s form. There is also a debate about the fourth bowling option for India. As of now, Bumrah, Siraj and Kamboj looks to the sure to play the game. The management is thinking about the fourth option between Kuldeep Yadav or Prasidh Krishna, depending on the conditions on offer.
