The Asia Cup 2025 Super Four match between India vs Pakistan hogged the limelight off-field rather than on-field. While India continues to assert its one-sided dominance over the arch-rivals, off-field, a disgraceful remark from a Pakistani TV channel regarding the clash grabbed most of the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
A video from a Pakistani TV show quickly went viral on social media, where the presenter asked the panelists a very shameful and serious question.

The panelist was heard saying, "Sir agar ladke yaha se jaan maare to kya hum jeet sakte hain? (Sir, if our boys give it their all, can they win from here?)"
Replying to this, a panelist gave a very disturbing answer, "Mere khayal mein ya to ye karde ya kuch ladke firing hi kar dena idhar match he khatam karo kyuki confirm hai hum harenge. (I think either they should give it their all or the boys can do some firing and end the match because it's confirmed that we are losing from here)".

After this nasty response, the panelist even laughed off after suggesting resorting to violence in the gentleman's game. Another worrying part of the video was that former Pakistani cricketers Basit Ali and Kamran Akmal were also part of the discussion.
Abhishek Sharma's match-winning knock enables an easy victory for India
Notably, India's opening batters Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill set the tempo of a 172-run target by sharing a solid 105-run opening partnership. The southpaw scored a breezy (74), while Gill scored (47), as Pakistan's bowlers had no answers to the duo's fireworks with bat in hand.

"The way the boys are stepping up in every game is making my job very easy. The boys showed a lot of character. They were calm after the first 10 overs (of India's bowling innings). After drinks, I told them the game starts now. They complement each other really well (Abhishek and Gill). It's like a fire and ice combination," Suryakumar said in the post-match presentation.
