The BCCI will be holding a meeting with the Asian Cricket Council in Dhaka on July 25-26 to decide the future of the tournament this year.
As of now, the future of the tournament is uncertain after the recent Pahalgam attack, which was followed by Operation Sindoor by the Indian Air Force.
As per reports, the tournament is expected to start from September 5 and the final will be played on September 21. The tournament will be played the the T20 format with the Super 4 stage as well. India are the hosts of the tournament this year and they have expressed their interest to play the tournament in the UAE.

BCCI Unwilling To Host Meeting With ACC In Dhaka
Furthermore, for the upcoming BCCI-ACC meeting, BCCI has also requested the meeting to be moved outside Dhaka due to the ongoing political tension within the country. The BCCI has even said that they might skip the meeting if it is scheduled in Dhaka.
“Under the prevailing circumstances and the political upheaval in Bangladesh, it wasn’t appropriate to travel to the country. We have officially informed the ACC to shift the venue of the next meeting"A BCCI official said.
A recent tweet by Times of India’s Senior Assistant Editor Gaurav Gupta has hinted that Dhaka might be the venue for this meeting.
“An important meeting of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will be held on July 25–26 in Dhaka… this meeting is likely to decide the fate of the Asia Cup, which is to be hosted by India. India will be represented in the meeting by BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla" he tweeted.

India Keen to Play Matches In UAE
Meanwhile, a report by Sports Tak said that India are willing to play the tournament in the UAE if things do not go as planned. Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are the three venues that have been picked for the Asia Cup.
“The proposal for the Asia Cup to be played in the UAE was drafted even before the Pahalgam attack. The situation has changed since then, so whatever the government says, we will abide by it,” a top source in the know of developments told Sports Tak.
